Curriculum performed in 70 countries
"A true virtuoso" praises him the "SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG"; "AN EXTRAORDINARY COMMAND OF RESONANCES AND TIMBRE EFFECTS" sentences "LOSSERVATORE ROMANO". From Stockholm the "SVENSKA DAGBLADET" writes, "He is a wonderful musician". From Oslo the "AFTENPOSTEN" headlines him "A MASTER OF THE GUITAR AT THE MUNCH MUSEUM".
In China Xu-Xangorium writes in "BEIJING WEEKEND", "The musician seemed to have the magic power of lifting one's soul above one's body" and "A shivering sensation along one's backbone ".
He first studied with Gian Battista Noceti (a Genovese born in 1874, creator of the harp-guitar), afterwards Massimo Gasbarroni was enrolled in the first curriculum established for the guitar in Italy at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory of Rome. Later on, he pursued his finishing studies at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena - also studying with Alirio Díaz and Andrés Segovia.
Massimo Gasbarroni's concert career has taken him to 70 countries in every continent of the
world: Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Tel-Aviv, Peking, Jakarta, Singapore, Vienna, Budapest, Istanbul, Madrid, Lisbon, Rome, Athens, Munich and Hamburg, Cracow and Warsaw, Praha, Caracas, Lima Santiago, Mexico, N. Y. and Toronto.
That said : it is in Russia that Massimo Gasbarroni has enjoyed his greatest success, performing 13 concert tours that ranged the entire country - from the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall of Moscow and the Great Hall of Saint Petersburg to the most important Philharmonics of the former Soviet Union, as far away as Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

He taught in various conservatories and academies, as in: Naples, Krakow, Sao Paulo; and held many seminars, master classes and lectures, in Madrid, Peking , Rome, Rio, Stockholm, New York, Volgograd, Rottach Egern (Germany), Lancut (Poland), Moscow, Seoul, Beirut, Toronto.
He is invited in many international festivals and competitions.
Gasbarroni is especially appreciated by the international critic, besides the Brazilian one, for his interpretations of the composer Heitor Villa-Lobos. He holds also a great interest for Isaac Albeniz. He made 20 transcriptions for guitar based on Albeniz's piano originals in a new personal view.
He is invited in international festivals and in guitar competitions (as chairman or member).
On December 2015 he received in Rome a special AWARD to the career from the Regione LAZIO.
